Looking for a new venue to sell your creations or products you represent? CozyMelts will soon be the new home of the only Artisan/Craft Mall in Huber Heights. Rent a booth to display and advertise your business. Contact us soon because there are a limited number of spaces available. We anticipate to open this on March 15, 2010.

There are 3 space choices. Spaces 2′ deep x 2′ wide are $35. Spaces 2′ x 4′ are $60 per month. 3′ x 4′ aisle displays are $80. Take advantage of our prepay 10% discount if you prepay for 3 months. At the end of the month we pay you for your sales less 10% for credit card processing, mall maintenance, and sales tax reporting.

We deeply appreciate all the loyal support of our customers. Due to a serious family medical situation, we will not be able to fire ceramic pieces after Monday, October 19 for a period of approximately 3 weeks. The store will remain open during this period. We apologize for this inconvenience to you but hope you will still come in to paint and shop with us. We will have your pieces ready as soon as possible during the second week of November. This would be a great time to come in and try your hand at clay handbuilding and candle making!

Walk-In Candle Making

Now you can walk-in and make a container candle anytime at CozyMelts. Choose your wax, scent, color, and container. The cost is $8.50 for Paraffin wax, $9.00 for Soy wax, and $9.50 for Palm wax. Learn a new skill and then you can make your own candles at home with our candle making supplies. Ages 15 and younger will need the supervision and assistance of a parent/adult because we will be pouring hot wax. We offer “sand” candles that are ideal for younger kids too! The cost of “Sand” Candles is $4.99.

Clay is Here!

Beginning Wednesday, October 7 you can hand build your own pottery at CozyMelts. Do your own thing or make our project of the week. Make it and paint it same day with just one firing. Then your piece is ready to pick up in 2 weeks to allow sufficient drying time. Cost for this activity is $7.00 plus $5.00/lb of clay.

Also, you can take a spin on a pottery wheel. You get 1 pound of clay to give it a try. Throwing pottery is loads a fun, but it does take practice to get a finished project. Cost is $12 for wheel time, 1 pound of clay and instruction. If you want to glaze and fire the piece, come back in a week and finish up the piece for an additional $7.00. To make a bigger project, you can purchase additonal clay for $5.00/lb. Wheel for beginners is by sign up appointment only for now. Experienced throwers can come in anytime.

I have been in the home party business myself and know that many times the reason it is hard to get people to book parties is that their house is not large enough or they don’t want to have to get their house ready for the party.
